From port recovery to final delivery, Omni coordinated every critical touchpoint for a large-scale U.S. battery energy storage rollout, protecting project timelines, decreasing demurrage, and giving the customer one partner to manage the entire move.
This project was more than a successful delivery window. Reliable execution gave the manufacturer the confidence to scale its U.S. operations without having to build and manage the logistics infrastructure itself. What began as one high-stakes rollout grew into an ongoing relationship covering 766 units across four ports and 11 separate projects. And the strongest signal came from the customer’s own customers: the manufacturer now refers downstream customers directly to Omni for their U.S. project logistics needs. The outcome wasn’t a shipment delivered on time. It was a customer that could make delivery commitments with confidence because the supply chain behind them was built to perform.

Strategically positioned capacity matched to your equipment and project requirements.
A global battery energy storage manufacturer was scaling its U.S. footprint, with equipment arriving by container and needing to reach active project sites on tightly sequenced timelines. A missed delivery did more than delay a shipment. It could trigger millions of dollars in project delay charges and put the customer’s commitments to its own customers at risk. The challenge was coordinating the entire chain: port recovery, specialized transportation, drayage, storage and final-mile delivery. Every handoff created another potential failure point, while the equipment itself required storage conditions suited to sensitive energy infrastructure. The customer needed one operating model that could keep equipment moving, protect it between milestones, and stay ahead of the project schedule.
Units were recovered directly from the port and moved into storage fast enough to decrease demurrage exposure, including 40-ton hazmat-classified equipment transported on licensed RGN trailers. The result: port congestion and container dwell time never became a project constraint.
Crane operators, trucking, drayage, storage and final-mile delivery were coordinated through a single point of execution. The customer didn’t have to manage multiple vendors, troubleshoot handoffs or absorb the risk between them.
Storage was secured close to project sites and matched to the equipment’s environmental requirements, creating a controlled buffer between port arrival and site readiness. Units could be positioned ahead of the project without exposing sensitive energy infrastructure to unsuitable conditions.
Units were released to site according to project readiness, maintaining the required delivery pace while arriving on schedule and without damage. That protected the customer from the financial and reputational consequences of a missed delivery window.
